Burnett is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound combo guard from Prolific Prep High School out in California. He is rated as a five-star recruit who is the No. 23 player in the class of 2020 and the No. 5 combo guard in the nation.
Back in June 2017, Burnett decided to transfer out to Prolific Prep from his hometown of Chicago, Illinois. He was attending Morgan Park High School, which is starting to become a big-time recruiting ground for the Illini. Despite the move out to California, Burnett still has strong ties to Illinois considering that is where he is from.
