The Illini are targeting a wide range of recruits for this class. Some of the talented players are low-level, sub-100, recruits who don’t have a ton of respect in the recruiting world but could still be under-the-radar and help the team in the future. These players are always great to target because they are looked over and have a chip on their shoulder.
Illinois has targeted a few of the traditional big-time recruits as well. There are players inside the top 50, high-level recruits, who are program-changers. Usually, these recruits last one or two years nowadays, but you never know.
