Nate Santos was the player who picked up the offer from the Illini. He is a 6-foot-7 wing player from Geneva High School in Geneva, Illinois. 2021 is a little ways away, but Illinois is getting in early on this up-and-coming big-time player.

According to MaxPreps, Santos averaged 4.5 points and 2.3 rebounds per game during his freshman campaign with Geneva. These aren’t bad numbers considering he was likely the youngest on the team.
While the Illini are getting in early on Santos’ recruitment, they aren’t the first team to offer him a scholarship.
