You have to go back to 2015 to find the last time the Orange and Blue were dancing in late May early June. They finished that season with an amazing 50-10-1 record overall and a 21-1 conference record. In the tournament, the Illini were the No. 6 overall seed and was the No. 1 seed in the Champaign Regional. They defeated Ohio, Notre Dame and Wright State to advance to the Super Regional Championship game where they played a great Vanderbilt program. The Illini would fall in straight games.
