CHAMPAIGN —Keynodo Hudson got a little emotional the first time he walked out on to Zuppke Field at Memorial Stadium. Those feelings were part of the reason he was interested when Illinois coach Lovie Smith inquired about joining his staff.
“Tremendous tradition just all around,” Hudson said. “Great atmosphere. You can feel the tradition and the pageantry coming out the ground when you walk out on the field.”
Hudson was officially added to the Illinois coaching staff a week ago as the Illini’s new cornerbacks coach — his first full-time assistant job at the Power Five level.
