Illini volleyball swept at home by Nebraska

CHAMPAIGN — Illinois has struggled with its passing the past couple weeks, particularly in the four-match losing streak that was snapped Friday against Iowa.

The Illini passed well Saturday night against Nebraska. For four rotations, at least.

Kadie Rolfzen gave Illinois some trouble, but it was Mikaela Foecke that had the Illini struggling in serve-receive. The freshman racked up five aces — including four as the Cornhuskers ran away with the second set — and helped lead No. 3 Nebraska to a 25-22, 25-18, 25-19 sweep of No. 16 Illinois in front of a Huff Hall crowd of 3,179 spotted with red.
