CHAMPAIGN — Brad Underwood was pretty free with his substitution patterns during Friday night's exhibition game against Illinois Wesleyan.
That's the point of an exhibition. It's an opportunity to find what works — which lineups are best.
The lineups that flowed well against Illinois Wesleyan relied heavily on guards. Having guys like Trent Frazier, Andres Feliz and Ayo Dosunmu on the court in some combination provided the steadiest look for the Illini.
At least offensively.
All three guards finished in double figures — Feliz leading the way with 20 points — and Illinois beat Illinois Wesleyan 83-67 at State Farm Center.
