CHAMPAIGN — DJ Steward had his breakout moment on the Nike EYBL circuit in mid-May. The Whitney Young guard went from slow start to dominant for MeanStreets in the north Indianapolis suburbs two-plus weeks ago.
This past weekend it was Adam Miller's turn in Dallas. The Morgan Park guard didn't exactly start slowly for Mac Irvin Fire with 23 points in his opener and 16 more the next day, but the 6-foot-3 guard went into overdrive in his final three games with 36, 39 and 35 points.
Miller and Steward are the clear frontrunners for top player in Illinois in the 2020 class.
