LINCOLN, Neb. — Illinois has been swept twice this season. Nebraska took the Illini in three on Oct. 17 at Huff Hall. The Cornhuskers did it again Wednesday night in Lincoln with a 25-16, 25-16, 25-16 victory that Illinois coach Kevin Hambly said wasn’t closed from late in the first set on.
“They were really good, and we needed to be a whole lot better if we were going to play with them,” Hambly said. “They really mopped us up tonight. That was a beatdown.”
It was No. 5 Nebraska’s tough serving that again led to the sweep of the No.
