CHAMPAIGN — With a glance at the Illinois soccer team’s record books, one name catches the eye. Not because it has many letters or is a particularly strange name — it’s just all over the place.
Jannelle Flaws etched her name in Illinois soccer lore by setting a handful of records that won’t be broken any time soon.
She’s tied with three others for goals scored in a half (three) and is the only Illini to do that twice.
She trails her former teammate, Vanessa DiBernardo, for the single-match goals mark (four) but scored three goals on four separate occasions — no Illini has done that more than twice.
