MADISON, Wis. — Chatrice White scored a team-high 28 points, lifting Illinois to a 76-56 victory against Wisconsin on Wednesday night in Big Ten women’s basketball.
Alex Wittinger added 16 points for the Illini (9-17, 2-13 Big Ten).
“I’m really happy for our team,” UI coach Matt Bollant said. “I feel like we’ve done a great job of staying together and have carried ourselves in a manner that we’re really proud of. (Wednesday) I feel like our team got rewarded for that; I have been proud of them for their perseverance.”
