CHAMPAIGN — The Illinois volleyball team will play a dozen NCAA tournament teams this fall, including eight during the Big Ten portion of the schedule.
The Illini open the 2016 season at Huff Hall with the 33rd annual Illini Classic, hosting Arkansas, Xavier and Missouri State on Aug. 26-27. The Big Ten/Pac-12 Challenge follows in Boulder, Colo., with matches against the host Buffaloes and Stanford, while Illinois also will play in tournaments at Oregon and at Saint Louis to close out its nonconference schedule.
