ORLANDO, Fla. — Two former Illini are on NBA Summer League teams, and both play Wednesday.
Guard Brandon Paul, who played at Illinois from 2009 to 2013 and ended up with 1,654 career points, is with the Charlotte Hornets.
The Hornets take on the Dallas Mavericks at 2 p.m. Wednesday, and through three games, Paul is averaging a team-high 14.7 points and a team-high 6.7 rebounds.
Center Nnanna Egwu, who played at Illinois from 2012 to 2015 and is the program’s all-time leader in blocked shots with 201, is with the Orlando Magic’s white team. Egwu, who is averaging five points and three rebounds in two games, and the Magic play the New York Knicks at noon Wednesday.
