CHAMPAIGN — Illinois’ baseball team won its second nonconference game in as many days, defeating Southern Illinois 6-3 on Wednesday at Illinois Field.
The Illini (23-19) defeated Missouri 6-4 on Tuesday night in Sauget.
Dan Rowbottom had a career-high four RBI on Wednesday, including a three-run double in the eighth inning that snapped a 2-2 tie.
Brendan Meissner (1-0) earned his first career victory in relief of Quinten Sefcik and Charlie Naso.
