Happy birthday to University of Illinois baseball twins Justin and Jordan Parr, celebrating their 25th birthdays Sunday. The younger brothers of three-time letter winner Josh Parr attended Illinois Valley Central High School and then Parkland College before transferring to play for the Illini in 2011.
Their parents were both athletes. Dad Cam played at Huntington (Ind.) University, and mom Julie was a soccer player at Illinois.
As a senior in 2013, Justin became the eighth Illini to earn Big Ten Player of the Year honors, leading conference play in average (.381), hits (37), RBI (25), on-base percentage (.
