CHAMPAIGN — Illinois pulled point guard Te’Jon Lucas out of Milwaukee, Wis., in the Class of 2016. The player that shared MVP honors with the Illini freshman in the Milwaukee City Conference in the 2015-16 season, 6-foot-6 wing Terrence Lewis, named Illinois one of his four finalists Tuesday morning according to a tweet from his AAU team.
Lewis, who also named Marquette, UNLV and Iowa State in his top four schools, is a four-star prospect ranked No. 99 in the 247Sports composite.
Lewis played for Wisconsin Playground Elite again this spring and summer after leading Milwaukee Riverside to a 22-4 season and 12-0 finish in the City Conference, claiming the league title by a half game over Lucas’ Milwaukee Washington squad.
