CHAMPAIGN — Aggressive serving has been a major point of emphasis for No. 7 Illinois this season.
Illinois turned the full force of its serve on Wisconsin on Wednesday night at Huff Hall. So much so that the Badgers had to make a switch at libero from M.E. Dodge to Tiffany Clark after the first set and ultimately try and hide Dodge in serve-receive altogether — placing two players in front of her on occasion as if a picket line.
Serving aggressively put No. 6 Wisconsin out of system, making it harder for the Badgers to utilize 6-foot-8 All-American middle blocker Dana Rettke.
