CHAMPAIGN — Shortly after the cameras were turned off and the questions had been asked, Nancy Fahey offered a rhetorical question to the assembled reporters on Tuesday afternoon.
"How long had it been since we won a Big Ten game, again?" Illinois women's basketball's second-year coach said.
Fahey, of course, knew the answer. The Illini ended a 29-game regular-season conference losing streak Sunday in a comeback 66-62 victory at then-No. 12 Minnesota.
So when Fahey and Illinois returned to Champaign-Urbana on Sunday evening, they enjoyed the moment.
