Jabri Abdur-Rahim certainly made a statement when he returned "home" to Atlanta in late April for the first weekend of Nike EYBL action. While Abdur-Rahim was born in California and plays high school hoops in New Jersey, his earliest years were spent in the Georgia capital while his dad, NBA All-Star Shareef Abdur-Rahim, played for the Atlanta Hawks.
A pair of 40-point games in one day highlighted Abdur-Rahim's return to Atlanta. He dropped 41 in a loss to Texas Titans in the morning and then 44 in a loss to Mac Irvin Fire later that night.
Those performances — particularly the three-point shooting given he was 14 of 25 from beyond the arc in those games — saw Abdur-Rahim's already impressive recruitment continue to skyrocket.
