How will the loss of an expected offensive play maker effect the Illini and their offense in Lovie Smith's first season?
The worst fears of Illini fans were confirmed on Friday evening at Memorial Stadium. Head Coach Lovie Smith announced, much to the dismay and chagrin of Illini fans that Mike Dudek has re-torn his right ACL.
After missing 2015 with a torn ACL, Dudek was expected to be one of the best offensive weapons on this Illinois team, as well as the Big Ten. After a stellar campaign in 2014, his freshman year, Mike was still expected to be a solid contributor even coming off ACL rehabilitation.
