CHAMPAIGN — After nearly 12 consecutive hours on the golf course at Champaign Country Club, Tim Hoss Jr. sank his final putt and was greeted by family and friends as he filled out the final spot on his scorecard. The smallest supporter to greet Hoss may have had the biggest impact, even without saying a word — especially because this particular supporter’s vocabulary doesn’t span much more than “Da-da” and “hot dog.”
Hoss carried his 16-month-old son, TJ, as he headed to the trophy presentation, where he hoisted the Twin City Championship trophy for the fifth time in his amateur career.
