TULSA, Okla. — Illinois’ Aron Hiltzik moved on to the round of 16 Friday in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Men’s All-American Championships with an upset of second-seeded Nicolas Alvarez.
Hiltzik, ranked 46th in the nation, scored a 7-5, 7-5 victory against Alvarez, who plays for Duke and is the nation’s seventh-ranked player.
Hiltzik will take on California’s Andre Goransson on Saturday at Michael D. Case Tennis Center at the University of Tulsa.
