CHAMPAIGN — Illinois baseball coach Dan Hartleb announced the addition of Adam Christ as an assistant coach on Wednesday. Christ joins the Illini after spending the past seven seasons at Minnesota State. He was the Mavericks' associate head coach starting in 2012 and will work with the Illinois position players and serve as third base coach.
"I am excited that Adam has joined our coaching staff and Illini family," Hartleb said in a release. "Adam has had great success recruiting at the collegiate level and has helped guide his team to the Division II College World Series four out of the last seven years.
