The months of November and December, when the fall and winter Illini sports seasons overlap, are the busiest of the year for the WDWS sports staff. But nothing prepared me for when the November sports schedule was put on my desk, and I laid eyes on this Saturday the 21st. Illini football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and volleyball are all in action, and it’s an all hands on deck situation to bring them to you. Here’s a rundown.
- Our day of sports gets started at 8 a.m. with Saturday SportsTalk. Michael Kiser hosts from TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and with Loren Tate tagging along with Lou Henson for the weekend at the coach’s hall of fame induction, Steve Kelly will co-host with Kiser from the DWS studio.
