I wasn’t planning on blogging during the Illini football bye week, but since Chambana’s got a case of Cubbie fever, I thought I’d whip something together looking at recent intersections of U of I sports and the north siders. My research found that several other Illini have sang the stretch in recent years – Tim Beckman, Bruce Weber, John Groce, Dee Brown, and James Augustine – but I could only find audio of Groce’s two renditions.
