Brad Underwood’s 2018 class is already pretty big, but it could have gotten bigger.
Illinois missed out on Canadian forward Quincy Guerrier when the four-star recruit announced his commitment to Syracuse over the Illini and Oregon Ducks on Wednesday night.
The Illini seem to be the only team of the three that would have asked the 6-foot-7, 215-pound wing to play immediately. Guerrier will enroll for the spring semester.
According to 247, Guerrier is ranked No. 48 nationally and is the No.13 small forward.
Illinois is also still looking for its first commitment in the 2019 class.
