CHAMPAIGN — Kendrick Foster arrived at Illinois with a boatload of yards from his standout days at Peoria Richwoods High School
The three-time News-Gazette All-State selection — this year’s 80th team gets unveiled in Thursday’s paper — ended his prep career with 6,401 yards for the Knights.
“The belly offense in high school helped me out a lot,” Foster said with a grin. “We had a great group of guys in front of me in high school, too, and I have a great group of guys in front of me here. We’re able to communicate on the sidelines, and I’m trying to see what they’re seeing.
