Former Illini star Karisma Penn, who played for Matt Bollant and Mike Divilbiss during her senior season, said she believed the allegations of her former teammates and the four other Bollant recruits who filed suit against the UI on Wednesday.
While she didn’t feel the coaches mistreated her, she said she thinks some players would feel that.
“It didn’t seem like verbal abuse to me, but it might to some people,” she said. “It depends on the person,”
Penn said while watching the past two seasons, she’s seen a clear difference in the mannerisms of players and coaches.
