Another Patriot’s Day in Massachusetts. Another win in the Boston Marathon by an Illinois wheelchair racer.
Tatyana McFadden took her third Boston title Monday morning. In Champaign, eight-time winner Jean Driscoll followed the race and rooted for the sport’s current star.
“The tradition continues,” Driscoll said. “Tatyana is fun to watch. She’s a hard worker. And she’s an Illini. I couldn’t be happier.”
Driscoll gives credit to current Illinois coach Adam Bleakney. And to the rest of the team.
“He’s doing a great job with the team,” Driscoll said. “As an athlete here, there’s a lot of support that you receiver.
