PEORIA — Ayo Dosunmu didn't get the chance to play in the Class 3A state title game last year because of a broken foot he sustained in a state semifinal game.
No worries this year.
The Chicago Morgan Park point guard and Illinois signee helped the Mustangs defeat Marian Catholic 68-51 on Friday afternoon during the 3A state semifinals at Carver Arena. Dosunmu compiled 13 points, four assists and four rebounds in 31 minutes, connecting on 6 of 14 from the field, but missing all three of his three-point attempts.
Cam Burrell led Morgan Park with 22 points, while Adam Miller — a Class of 2020 prospect who has an Illinois offer — added nine points and six rebounds.
