CARMEL, Ind. — Charlie Danielson and Dylan Meyer were among the top five individuals Monday at the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate, and Illinois men’s golf held a 9-stroke lead after one day of play.
Danielson was tied for second at 2 under through two rounds of action at Crooked Stick Golf Club, while Meyer held fourth at 1 under. They were both chasing Kentucky’s Tyler McDaniel, who was at 10 under.
The Illini were the only team not above par through 36 holes, sitting at even-par following a 9-under second round. Big Ten foe Purdue was second and Kentucky was third, 14 strokes behind.
