CHAMPAIGN — Illinois announced on Friday that freshman guard Jalen Coleman-Lands would miss the upcoming foreign trip with a stress fracture in his lower left leg.
The 6-foot-3 guard from Indianapolis will miss on-campus practices in preparation for the trip, as well as the games in Belgium, the Netherlands and France. "After experiencing pain in his left leg, Jalen has been diagnosed with a stress fracture,” Illinois coach John Groce said. “His health is our number one priority, so we are holding him out of all on-court activities indefinitely. We will re-evaluate his status heading into fall preseason training.
