Austin Colbert, who last month decided to transfer out of the Illinois basketball program after two seasons, has committed to Old Dominion, according to a release from ODU athletic program today.
Colbert, a sophomore from Chesapeake, Va., averaged 1.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 25 games this past season. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 1.3 points in 22 games as a freshman.
Colbert scored a career-high six points against Indiana State at the Las Vegas Invitational in November and grabbed a career-best seven rebounds at Iowa on Feb. 25. His signature moments at Illinois were a series of put backs, one against Baylor in the Las Vegas Invitational championship game.
