Austin Colbert, who last month decided to transfer out of the Illinois basketball program after two seasons, has committed to Old Dominion, according to a release from ODU athletic program today.
"We are excited that Austin has decided to return home to continue his career,” Old Dominion coach Jeff Jones said in a statement. “He is a talented young man with a tremendous upside. We can’t wait to begin working with him.”
Colbert, a sophomore from Chesapeake, Va., averaged 1.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 25 games this past season. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 1.3 points in 22 games as a freshman.
