URBANA — Zeke Clark has seen plenty of Petros Chrysochos in the past year.
Wake Forest shut out Clark and his Illini teammates twice last season before Chrysochos claimed the NCAA singles title at the end of May.
But while Clark's first match against the reigning singles champion ended in a three-set loss Tuesday night, the rising junior took little time picking out what went wrong.
"I blinked a little bit and it just took me a little longer than I'd hoped to recover from it," said Clark, who fell 6-1, 2-6, 1-6 in Tuesday's quarterfinals of the Fighting Illini Open at Atkins Tennis Center.
