Wide out Casey Washington signed with Illinois during the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.
Washington, a Pflugerville, Texas native, committed to the Lovie Smith’s program toward the end of this summer and still remains the only wide receiver on board for the class of 2019.
He’s currently ranked as the 204th-best player in the state of Texas and 187th-best wide receiver in the country, according to 247.
The Illinois receiving corps was unreliable at best in 2018. Losing Malik Turner and then Mikey Dudek to another injury, forced the Illini to turn to guys like Edwin Carter, Trenard Davis, and Sam Mays to split the work load with Ricky Smalling.
