Camp Rantoul notebook: Necessary adjustments being made

RANTOUL — Mobile outside of the pocket doesn’t describe a particular strength for Wes Lunt.

The Illinois quarterback won’t get confused for most-athletic Big Ten quarterback this season.

Making sure injuries don’t pop up again for Lunt this season is one of the biggest priorities — if not the biggest one — for Illinois this season.

“He’s getting rid of the ball so fast,” Illinois offensive coordinator Bill Cubit said. “He knows exactly where everybody’s at. Last year, we were holding the ball because we didn’t trust the receivers. Now he just throws it. You better be there, and if you’re not there, he’s getting on you.
