CHAMPAIGN — Alex Brown has experienced plenty of success this spring. The Illinois men's tennis freshman is 16-8 in singles action and lost just once in Big Ten play. Not to mention his 19-8 mark playing doubles with fellow freshman Caleb Chakravarthi.
It all added up to Brown earning First Team All-Big Ten honors Thursday alongside Illini Aleks Vukic, while Aron Hiltzik was an All-Big Ten second team selection.
Brown had his stumbles, too.
The Urbandale, Iowa, native had some early losses in the fall and started the spring with four losses in his first six singles matches.
