CHICAGO — A month into his job as an assistant basketball coach at UIC, former Illinois great Dee Brown has been spending the bulk of his time getting to know the players on the Flames roster and just getting comfortable overall with his new surroundings.
And as practice is set to begin in college basketball on Friday, it should come as no surprise to anyone who knows anything about Brown what his goals are during his first season on a college bench as a coach.
"Win. Everything is about winning," Brown said. "It's pretty simple."
Brown, who along with James Augustine is the winningest player in Illinois basketball history, has won just about everywhere he's been.
