LUBBOCK, Texas — Jarrett Culver had a few low major offers following the conclusion of his junior year at Coronado High School. All it took to land multiple high major offers in one day was one Nike EYBL session — just three games Saturday and Sunday in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The 6-foot-5, three-star Class of 2017 shooting guard reportedly added an Illinois scholarship offer to his total late Monday in addition to offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Arkansas-Little Rock.
Culver averaged 20 ppg this past season at Coronado. It was his play for Pro Skills at the first Nike EYBL session, though, that saw him garner more national attention.
