The NBA might not be quite ready to abolish its one-and-done rule just yet, but the league has created a new way for "elite" prospects to get a head start on their professional careers. The G League is planning to offer $125,000 contracts to players not yet eligible for the NBA draft to skip a one-and-done season of college basketball. That's about 3 1 / 2 times more than the average G League contract this season, although players on two-way contracts can earn more — between $77,250 and $385,000 depending on time of service in the G League and NBA.
