There’s really no true offseason for college basketball. Here are three things that caught our college basketball writer and AP Top 25 voter’s attention in the last week:
Finland bound
Former Illinois point guard Jaylon Tate parlayed a breakout first season as a pro north of the border in Canada to a roster spot in the top league in Finland. Tate was signed by Pyrintö at the end of July. The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 13.4 points, 7.4 assists and 3.1 assists last season for the Niagara River Lions in the NBL Canada.
