There’s really no true offseason for college basketball. Here are three things that caught our college basketball writer and AP Top 25 voter’s attention in the last week:
TRENDING UPWARD
Nevada finished the 2017-18 season as a Sweet 16 team and was ranked No. 24 in the final AP poll. Expect the Wolfpack to check in significantly higher when the first poll comes out for the 2018-19 season. Not only did Caleb Martin, Cody Martin and Jordan Caroline return, but Eric Musselman landed five-star forward Jordan Brown.
ADDING EXPERIENCE
Kentucky coach John Calipari is the poster boy for the one-and-done process, regularly turning over his roster with a fresh group of five-star freshmen.
