No. 7: Mikey Dudek, WR
Why he’s important: He’s the most versatile pass catcher the Illini have. Injured or not. The sophomore made a cannonball-sized splash last fall, racking up 76 receptions for 1,038 yards and six touchdowns. He shattered previous records in one of the best seasons ever by a new Illinois wideout. He’d likely find himself higher on this list, too, if it was known when he’ll return to the field. But a torn ACL suffered in early April during a noncontact drill at a spring practice has dampened the thought of what the Naperville native could do in a follow-up performance.
