NO. 45: Tyrin Stone-Davis, wide receiver
WHY HE'S IMPORTANT: Stone-Davis was highly touted coming out of Pierce College near Los Angeles, but Illinois fans are still waiting to see some production. In his first season with the Illini, the Philadelphia native played in four games — and only one Big Ten game — and didn’t register a catch. The possibilities are tantalizing for what the 6-foot-3, 195-pound Stone-Davis could bring to the field. Think Geronimo Allison, another tall and lanky junior college product who immediately burst onto the scene last fall. Stone-Davis still has two seasons of eligibility left, so by no means is he a wash for the Illini.
