NO. 39: Ke’Shawn Vaughn, RB
WHY HE'S IMPORTANT: The state’s best high school football player in Tennessee last fall was a Signing Day surprise to many outside the Illinois program. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound true freshman will don the coveted No. 5 jersey reserved in the past for guys who played his position, like Rashard Mendenhall, Mikel Leshoure and Donovonn Young. All three of those rushers are in the top 20 in school history for career rushing yards. No pressure there. All Vaughn did last season for Pearl-Cohn High School out of Nashville was rush for 2,646 yards and 45 touchdowns.
