NO. 30: Andrew Davis, TE
WHY HE'S IMPORTANT: The Iowa Western Community College to Illinois pipeline continued in the 2015 class for the Illini in the form of Davis. Easy to spot on the field because of his height — 6 feet, 6 inches — Davis has worked on improving his strength and adding muscle to his 230-pound frame. His pass-catching skills are well ahead of his run-blocking skills at the moment, but Davis was able to work in with the starters for much of spring practice. The decision to enroll early was an easy one for Davis, who saw how much that benefitted his former teammate at Iowa Western, Illinois wideout Geronimo Allison, last year.
