No. 28: Dionte Taylor, WR
Why he’s important: The Florida native hasn’t delivered yet on the field. At least on a regular basis. The junior has dealt with his share of injuries thus far in his first two seasons. But fully healthy, he could factor into the Illini’s offense in 2015. At least at the start. Mikey Dudek’s torn ACL has left the door open for one of the unheralded wideouts on the Illini roster to try and grab the chance for more playing time. It appears Taylor may get that shot. He worked with the starters during the Illini’s scrimmage at Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in mid-April, only days after Dudek suffered his devastating injury.
