No. 26: Malik Turner, WR
Why he’s important: While he didn’t put up the numbers Mikey Dudek did in his true freshman season, Turner could probably still look back at the 2014 season and take pride in what he accomplished. He and Dudek were the only two true freshmen in the Class of 2014 to see the field last season for the Illini. Turner didn’t disappoint, hauling in 25 passes for 256 yards and one touchdown. He disappeared at times during Big Ten action, but was a force in the nonconference season and saved his best game for the last one of the season.
