No. 21: Tyler White, TE
Why he’s important: Despite entering the season with the label of starter at tight end, White doesn’t have a boatload of receptions in his two seasons at Illinois. More like two. All of which happened last season. His first one, however, was memorable, resulting in a 13-yard touchdown on a pass thrown by his roommate, Wes Lunt, one of the few bright spots for the Illini in its 38-27 loss against Purdue. He’s had the chance to watch and learn the past two seasons from Jon Davis and Matt LaCosse.
